LET'S TALK FULL LACE FRONT WIGS !!!

OK! OK! OK!  I hear all the funny jokes made about lace front wigs! I even heard the funny song "Lace Front Shawty"! SMH! *shaking my head* ! Although I did have to laugh at the jokes and the song, I have no shame! I have worn lace front wigs on many occassions! and NO! I did not have my hair line by my eyebrows, and NO I am not a believer in the EXTRA BABY HAIR around the edges. No offense to Chili from TLC, but its 2012, and we are GROWN WOMEN! We dont need hair slicked to our face around our hairline and EXTRA side burns to make a hairstyle look natural. =) !
Ladies it comes down to this, which is my favorite saying. You get what you pay for! Never once was I wearing a lace front and someone right off the top knew it was a lace front. I was asked who did your sew-in and when I wore my 10 inch  lace front for a more natural look, I had people coming up to me telling me I have such a wonderful grade of hair. Lets look at some YES full lace front wigs and SOME NO full lace front wig photos, RED CARPET STYLE ! LETS GO !

BEYONCE! MISS BEY! YES THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! and LET me Explain WHY !
When chosing a lace front there are a BIG factors that most don't consider! Most women chose one that fits on their head and as long as the lace color matches your skin (some women don't even worry about that, but let's not go there ladies!) they feel as though they have found their perfect wig. NO! It NEVER stops there! If someone who is selling you a full lace front wig allows it to stop there, they do not have your  best WIG interest at heart! You need to and you MUST choose a density that works for you, while maintaining the natural look of the wig. That was the hard part for me!  A quick tip is get the density 100% around the edges so that you may be able to keep a natural looking part. **F.Y.I. I chose to wear my lace front wigs VERY full, so I get about 120% density around the edges and 180% density throughout the rest of the wig. If you order with PBHS this would be considered a custom wig, which is what i recommend. Chose a wig that you design just for YOURSELF** In my opinion, the most important part of a wig or a weave is to keep a natural looking part, or if you are going for the straight back look, your hairline must be intact and look NATURAL ! Not to low near the eyebrows and not to far back making your forehead appear larger.

Beyonce NO!!!!!!!!!!! Ladies, You ALL KNOW and CAN CLEARLY see I love Beyonce and I am a big fan or her lace wigs, but I do not like this Full lace Front wig she is wearing at all! I WOULD NEVER WEAR IT! Its Really disappointing! The wig, the slick back, the horrible edges, and the application just makes me wonder did Miss Beyonce apply this lacefront herself?  =) Whatever the case was, the biggest problem I have with this lace wig is that it does NOT look natural. It looks obvious. She has no natural part, her edges are ridiculous, and it is not giving off the soft and natural look she normally has with her wigs. The hairline is the biggest and most DESIRED part of a full lace front wig. When selling lace fronts I put strong emphasis on the natural hairline appearance that full lace front wigs offer!
Now Ladies! These are just merely my opinions. Maybe you have pictures of certain celebrities where you have loved the lace front wigs they were rocking or you actually hated them and wanted to start signing lace front shawty at the top of your lungs at them! Either way, let me know what you think! This is definitely one of my favorite topics because we all know there is the right way to do things, and there is a WRONG way to do them. Don't shy away from Full Lace Front Wigs because you have only seen the HIDEOUS side. Let PBHS show you the BEAUTIFUL, NATURAL and AFFORDABLE way to wear and choose your full lace front wig!

Ciao! XoXoXo

WEAVES! WIGS!... IT WORKS!

Hi ! I'm Britney! Welcome to Pearlie B Hair Systems blog spot! Whether you are just browsing or if you have already subscribed I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME AND INTEREST! *P.S. if You didn't already subscribe make sure you do before you leave :)* I want to take a moment
and tell you about myself and how I became introduced and interested in different types of hair extensions and wigs. I was a natural born fashionista and I was always intrigued with make up, clothes, jewelry and ESPECIALLY HAIR! I loved hair medium length, long, all the way to the short sassy Halle Berry hairstyles. But let’s go back …all the way back! I know everyone remembers when micro braids first came out! Let me tell it I was the FIRST 12 year old to rock the INVISIBLE BRAIDS that my favorite celebrity, Beyonce would wear in her music videos and appearances! I wore braids for many years. I remember the excruciating pain and the long hours sitting in the shop well past midnight crying off and on and annoying my stylist as well as my mother who was spending a couple hundred dollars or more for this dreadful process. But through it all the outcome was BEAUTIFUL! Micro braids were a lifesaver for me…until slowly but surely my hair began to fall out! YIKES! Soon I was faced with a BIG PROBLEM. Looking in the mirror after years of rocking my stylish invisible micro braids I realized I no longer had enough hair for the stylist to be able to catch for the braids. The braids caused me severe hair damage and loss around my hair line! WHAT WAS I GOING TO DO? No more braids, my Beyonce hairstyle no longer worked for me, and to be honest I was ready to move on to something new. Fashion and hairstyles were changing and I wanted to keep up.

I went from getting braids, straight to getting sew-ins, and occasionally bonding hair in. The hair bonding caused more hair loss, so I stuck with sew-ins for a while until I realized that my hair needed to breathe and it needed a break! I always admired women like my Aunt Jean who have the confidence to cut their hair really low in a boy like fade, or the women who do away with the chemicals and go natural by doing nothing at all to their hair. I loved the bald heads, the fades, the afros, and even the dreads that I saw slowly but surely becoming popular in our culture. I believed them when they said HAIR DOES NOT DEFINE THEM. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L is the best way to describe them.

However, I was not ready for such a drastic change. I knew starting over with my hair by cutting it off would give me best results but I had no patience to start all the way over. I cut my hair down as low as I thought would be necessary and I decided I would wear a wig. A WIG?!?! Did this girl just say a WIG? Yes aWIG! NO NOT A LACE FRONT …we aren’t there yet, give me a second! =) A W-I-G! One of those wigs that if I did a HAIR FLIP too hard yes ma’am it just may come off! I chose that direction because I needed to have something I could easily take off and put back on so that I could do extensive hair treatments to get my hair back healthy. This was very hard move for me to make because wigs, especially back then, were regarded as ridiculous,  for old people, bald people, or as just something people just slapped on their head and went out looking like WHO DID IT AND WHY? OK BALD PEOPLE? REALLY? At that moment I was just about to be BALD from hair damage and I had no shame in my game. I found a wig I loved (her name is Princess) and I owned that wig and I still do! I was so apprehensive at first when choosing to wear a wig that I never thought that my confidence would get stronger than ever by wearing Princess. I got compliment after compliment, I began to change what color I wore from 1b to a 4 I even starting rocking 1b/27 ! Yes ma’am high lights in my 22 inch WIG! And everyone loved it! Shout out to the people who thought it was a sew in and big props to the people who knew it was a wig, asked me about it and I had no problem letting them know “GIRL THIS IS PRINCESS!” I love my wigs! I even went on to experiment with different ones, all the while my hair was restoring back to health! Talk about a WIN!

Those that know me best know that I get bored easily. Although I love my Princess wig and I still do to this day I felt the need to shake things up a bit. I occasionally went back to my sew-ins but I always ended back with old faithful…Princess! =) My hair was rapidly growing, which made me excited but I have never been one to just wear my own natural hair. I have a passion for hair extensions! I needed something new, but what? I would constantly read hair magazines, and Google celebrity hair styles to see what was new. I finally came across pictures of my favorite celebrity in the world, Beyonce, and I was fascinated! She too had left the micro/invisible braids behind and was wearing what looked like FABULOUS WEAVES! But wait! Why was her pony tail on top of her head? How was it slicked back so smoothly that I could not even see bulges from where her braids would be for her tracks! I just knew that this waist length blonde hair Beyonce was rocking didn’t just grow over night! I had to do some research and what I found changed my hair game and took it to an entirely different level.
WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF FULL LACE FRONT WIGS!

I was so excited! TOTALLY BESIDE MYSELF! I had never heard anyone even speak of these full lace wigs! I felt like I had been let in on the celebrity’s secret and I wasn’t going to tell anyone, except my mom and sister of course! =) This was all I dreamed of for my hair! My hair was restoring slowly but surely, but most of my damage was along my hair line! The full lace wig is a hair system that gives the look of a natural hair line! IT’S A WIG MADE WITH LACE SO THIN ITS INVISIBLE TO THE HUMAN EYE! It looks as though the hair is coming right out your scalp. This was too good to be true! Now I had to figure out my next move, and that was being able to afford it and figuring out where to buy it. When I was first exposed to full lace wigs they were not as popular or known of as they are today. I remember wearing them, and women would come over to me and be like your hair is so gorgeous. But those that know me KNOW that I wore that sucker 20-24 inches long and thick! So for a while I had people confused and I loved it. My hair was a mystery, but a couple years later more women would find out and more companies would distribute the full lace wig, which eventually turned into lace front wigs because manufacturers began making the wig with machines and only putting lace around the front. It was disappointing, but that’s how our economy works. Full lace wigs were at first popular in the medical field. They weren’t even called wigs. The correct term is HAIR SYSTEM. The wigs were used for cancer patients or people who had diseases that caused hair loss. THE BEST FULL LACE WIG TO HAVE IS ONE THAT IS COMPLETELY HAND MADE! NO MACHINES!

So now my hair game was to the MAX! I rocked everything from sew-ins, quick weaves, wigs, and full lace front wigs. The next hair detail I began to focus on was the texture of the hair. For my sew-ins I loved milky-way! My mom always wore it, and to me it felt silky and nice. I begin to get curious about hair textures when I started wearing full lace front wigs. They had textures I did not even know existed! Let me give you the run down! They had: Chinese Virgin, Malaysian, Mongolian, Remy, Yaki Remy, Silky Remy, Curly Remy, Wavy Remy, European, and many more! I know ya’ll get the point! =)  So I began wearing these textures of hair when I had my sew-ins! BINGO ! My weaves were definitely CERTIFIED!

The full lace wigs and the textures of weft human hair used for sew-ins seemed to be kept on the hush for a while! Now they are booming and you can find them anywhere! While doing your weave shopping I know that you know it can be difficult. You want the best for your money, and honestly during my experimenting I learned that YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I feel that through my experience I lost my hair and I lost a lot of my confidence as well. I didn’t want to talk about it with anyone and I hid it from friends and family. Since I’ve overcome that and found hairstyles that make me confident I wanted to share my story with other women who may be going through the same thing! I’m here! Feel free to discuss anything! Whether you want to leave a comment or even personally email me! I AM HERE! And the services I offer are also available to you as well! Whether you are going through hair loss or just want to look fierce just for the heck of it! THIS IS A PLACE FOR YOU!
